Worship

A defining characteristic of Christian intentional communities is some form of common worship. Since the days of the Roman catacombs, Christians have gathered at regular times through the week to reorient their lives towards their Creator and Redeemer. Some communities worship together as a congregation on Sunday’s; some communities worship with established congregations outside the community. Most engage in devotional practices or disciplines through the week. In the Nurturing Communities Network, common worship takes a variety of forms: prayer, music and other embodied forms of worship.
